The Grand Day Out Package has been revamped, offering even more flexibility than ever before. You can now choose between dining at the Atrium or the Bistro at the Grand Hotel, each featuring distinct menus. Previously exclusive to the Atrium, the package now extends to the Bistro—a charming restaurant located inside the hotel. With its warm ambiance, elegant design, and welcoming atmosphere, the Bistro offers a delightful experience that is sure to leave you feeling warm and content.

The package begins with a leisurely cruise across Port Phillip Bay from Docklands aboard a modern fast ferry, arriving at the charming seaside town of Portarlington. Standing proudly on the main street since 1888, the historic Portarlington Grand Hotel has recently undergone a stunning renovation, seamlessly blending its rich heritage with modern luxury.

The Grand Day Out Package not only includes your return ferry journey, but it also includes lunch and either a glass of house wine, a pot of tap beer or a refreshing soft drink. Before or after your lunch at the hotel, schedule a walk down the main street of Portarlington to visit the beautiful boutiques and local shops. Or if you have time, you can schedule a quick trip out to a winery using the Grand Shuttle Service which is available for Grand Day Out patrons (Mon-Fri).

Groups of 10 or more people

For group enquiries of 10 or more people, please send a request at least 72 hours prior to travel to info@portphillipferries.com.au or call 03 9514 8959.

If your party intends to be seated together at the same table, please only make one booking. Separately made bookings will not be guaranteed to be seated together. Menu items are seasonal and therefore are subject to change. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements in your booking by adding them to the booking comments.

Package Details

Package cancellations are non-refundable within 48 hours of travel unless cancelling due to COVID-19-related reasons in which case we would alert PGH and provide the customer with a credit (gift card) to be used towards a future booking within 3 years. The maximum table size is 9 when booked together, however, if you require a larger table, please send a request at least 48 hours prior to travel as per the details below (subject to availability).
