But Stawell’s loss (sorry Stawell) is Portarlington’s mighty gain. Occupying the old IGA building on the Geelong Road in Portarlington, Mishka + Mikki is a store of absolute delights – so be sure to set a bit of time aside if you’re planning on visiting this Aladdin’s cave of artwork, home wares, gift-ware, furniture and beautiful resort-wear style clothing and accessories.

Well, shiver me timbers. As bonafide nautical enthusiasts it goes without saying that we were quite excited when we heard about the Nautical Clearance popping up in Portarlington. Fine purveyors of top nautical decor, these guys know the ropes and are full to the gunwales with everything and anything to do with ships & sea, time & tide, wind & weather and stars & skies – plus a vast range original “one off” maritime antiques. Don’t give this one a wide berth. Shake a peg leg and get to it.
