The Good Times Just Keep Rolling into Docklands

a sign above a store

Docklands just keeps delivering the goods! So much so, that each week it feels like there’s a new, uber-cool venue or draw card popping-up. HOYTS is now open, plus Market Lane fresh food precinct and we hear whispers of a new interactive experience due to open for Christmas 2020 at The District Docklands! Plus, there’s a world of flavour on offer, something to suit every tastebud!

Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq

Is it a sideshow alley? Is it a bar? Or maybe a diner? We’re not sure. But with six bowling lanes, 67 arcade and ticket games, an XD Theatre and dodgems, Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq is guaranteed to offer hours of entertainment for you and your crew. Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq is a new venue by the masterminds that brought us Holey Moley. To quote Urban List: “It doesn’t fit neatly into any pre-existing mental category” – and that’s alright by us. You do you, Archie Brothers. You do you.

Urban Alley Brewery

The Melbourne craft brewery scene is the gift that just keeps giving – and we’re excited to say there’s a new kid in town. They’re sustainable, ecofriendly and environmentally conscious, to boot. Located underneath the Melbourne Star, Urban Alley is part craft brewery and part pub with a line-up of four core beers (the signature pale plus a lager, IPA and American pale ale) brewed on site. You can even watch the team hard at work through the massive glass windows. Looks like we’ve found ourselves a new local.

HOYTS at District Docklands

Docklands has a new state-of-the-art cinema, and it is in our ‘hood! The new HOYTS at District Docklands will boast eight auditoriums, including two 300-seat Xstremescreen cinemas. If you think this cinema is sounding pretty fancy, you’d be right. Every theatre has been kitted out with powered, leather recliners, Dolby Atmos sound and award-winning RGB laser projection by Christie Digital Systems. There will also be an assortment of bars, cafes, and an open-plan “Treat City”, brought to you by the likes of Arties Bar/Café and Ben & Jerry’s.
Bring. It. On.

Adventures Across the Bay

Getting to Melbourne has never been cruiser. With the ferry docking extremely close to the free CBD tram network and being only a short walk away from Southern Cross Station, exploring all that the city has to offer has never been so easy. The hard part is choosing what to do.
